Our Story…
It was toward the end of April 2015. Loan was now a part of the working world, and had more time to mingle. Nose to the grindstone, Alex was working with no time for a romantic relationship. They had mutual friends, Maria Nguyen and Franz Quiambao, who worked next to each other. They decided to play matchmaker. A happy hour mixer to celebrate Cinco de Mayo was set up so Loan and Alex could meet. They got to know more about each other over a couple of pitchers of Margarita. Over the course of six months, a friendship between them developed, turning romantic after a dinner to celebrate Alex’s birthday gave him the opportunity to show off his dance skills. It wasn’t the awkward way his body moved on the dance floor that sealed the deal for them. It was the discomfort from the inordinate amount of sweat that he suffered through, without saying a word so they could keep dancing, that she found endearing. From that moment, their relationship bore one of care and understanding. Eventually, love found its way into their hearts. They are excited to share their special day with you all.
The Proposal…
In April of 2018, Loan and Alex vacationed up and down Italy. Alex first proposed in an Air BNB in Florence on her birthday. It was more casual than Loan would have liked. She said yes, but wanted Alex to propose to her again on another day. It was on their last day in Italy at the Termini Train Station in Rome that Alex got down on one knee to formally propose. Not every groom gets to hear “YES” twice.
